Environmental Management
1. Scope
Brüel & Kjær recognises the principle of sustainable development and consequently conducts its operations so as to minimise adverse environmental effects.
2. Core elements
Brüel & Kjær will meet the environmental objectives using the following strategies:
- Invest in the development of new products and applications to enable our customers to meet or exceed their environmental aspirations
- Comply with all relevant environmental laws and strive for best practice in all of our activities
- Manage our resources to minimise raw material usage, dispose correctly of waste, reduce harmful emissions, and promote energy conservation and recycling
- Require procedures for identifying and minimising any significant environmental risks inherent in manufacturing, document distribution and installation processes, and ensure that such procedures become part of the definition and validation of new products and processes
- Raise environmental awareness amongst our employees to enable them to carry out their work with due consideration for the environment
- Work with our suppliers and business partners to provide confidence that their environmental impact is managed according to standards acceptable to Spectris
- Regularly report our environmental policy to our employees, shareholders, and other interested parties
The Environmental Management is not certified according to ISO 14001 but fulfils almost all requirements although not always documented as required.
