Many people use modal analysis to find out the resonances, deflection shapes, and damping of products. The results of a good modal analysis test can be used to solve mechanical problems, validate Finite Element Models, and understand why products exhibit early failures. But making sure you take good data in the first place is important - remember Garbage In = Garbage Out!
Attend this NETCourse to get some hints and tips on how to take good modal data. Transducer mounting, system calibration, Analyzer setup, and data process will be discussed.
