Utility Software for Hand-held Analyzers

The software in the Type 2250 and 2250 Light Hand-held Analyzers are maintained and improved on a regular basis. From this page you can update your software modules for Type 2250 and 2250 Light.

Free Updates

The update of BZ-5503 is free of charge and the updates for the 2250 software are free of charge if you already have a license for a version of the module with the same most significant digit in the version number (e.g. version 2.2 is a free update of version 2.0 and 2.1 if you have a license for version 2.x).

Contact your local Brüel & Kjær representative if you want to upgrade from a lower version number.

What To Do?

1. Click on the hyperlink for the BZ-5503 Utility Software below, download the file and unzip to a folder of your choice using Winzip (just double-click the downloaded file)
2. Read and follow the Installation Manual (pdf-file, 1.5 Mb) for installing BZ-5503
3. If you don't have license for the Type 2250 software version 2, then you can update to the latest version 1 software: Please download the 2250 Software Package No. 10, 2006-11-03 as described below in Previously released software packages
4. Run BZ-5503 and connect 2250 to the PC using a USB cable
5. Click the Install-button in BZ-5503 and select the software package required for updating your 2250

Calculate 2250 Logging Memory Usage

The calculation is a guideline only!

Calculation is approximate. Uncertainty is the greater of 10kB or 1%.
The spectrum is assumed to be 1/3 octaves 12,5Hz - 20kHz.
You can read the amont of free memory space in the 2250 Explorer.
