Editorial
This edition of the Magazine is one I am particularly proud of with the introduction of Hand-held Analyzer Type 2250, Surface Microphone Type 4948, brand new hardware for PULSE 8.0, and the establishment of a Brüel & Kjær subsidiary in Japan. But, despite the enormity of these, what I am most proud of is what lies behind the scenes, what makes them possible.
The new Hand-held Analyzer Type 2250 and the revolutionary Surface Microphone are both important milestones for us the words innovative and groundbreaking technology spring to mind.
Yes, we have the technology, we have the creative minds and we have the experience over 60 years of it. But without the ideas, the feedback and the cooperation of users and partners alike, there would be no surface microphone and no Type 2250.
The Surface Microphone was specifically designed with Airbus and according to their very exacting requirements. Type 2250 only came to life following exhaustive and demanding research and groundwork involving customers and other sound level meter users.
Our role is to get to know our customers, understand their challenges, and combine these with our knowledge and the available technology. Only then can we deliver successful and innovative products and solutions. In accord with this, the establishment of Brüel & Kjær Japan will hopefully get us closer to our customers and the sound and vibration market in the East.
You can read much more about all the above in the Magazine, but dont forget to take a look at our case studies and other product news; they could include something just for you.
