The Award
In a market that does not tolerate component failure or warranty recalls, the task of the auto engineer is becoming ever more challenging. Brand reputations are made or broken on the back of vehicle reliablility, usability and drivability and the Automotive Testing Technology International Awards acknowledge such efforts, rewarding automotive engineers and the companies that supply and service their efforts. Automotive Testing Technology International has selected Brüel & Kjær as its first "Company of the Year".

In his reasons for awarding Brüel & Kjær with "Company of the Year", Graham Johnson from UK International Press (publisher of Automotive Testing Technology International) said "The key for us is that Brüel & Kjær is not just selling products but is providing research, and contributing extensively to the NVH development process. We were highly impressed with the new Application Research Center in Detroit. It's a real move forward in testing technology and development. We are also very interested in Brüel & Kjær's work with the NVH Vehicle Simulator".
John Challen, Editor-in-Chief of Automotive Testing Technology International, elaborated, "We made our decision based on several factors but Brüel & Kjær's facility in the US (the Application Research Center, Ed.), and its work in the field of NVH simulation were major factors. NVH is such a vast area and is a very important topic. Brüel & Kjær is pushing the boundaries and enabling the automotive industry to make better cars".
In his acceptance speech, Brüel & Kjær President Kalle Hvidt Nielsen stated, "This award is an important signal that Brüel & Kjær are moving forcefully ahead improving NVH solutions for the automotive industry. It has been our ambition to make significant contributions to help improve the vehicle development processes and we are proud that this is now so directly recognised by the industry. Especially the recognition of the impact of the NVH simulator as a major innovative step forward in managing NVH attributes from concept to the final developed vehicle".
