Brüel & Kjær announces the 12th release of PULSE, the most popular sound and vibration analyzer in the world now with more than 8000 systems installed globally.

Over the previous 11 years, 11 versions of PULSE have been released each version adding extra technologies and applications built upon the successes of the previous versions. PULSE 12 would be no exception, except for one exception measurement experts. During the specification phase for PULSE 12, over 250 sound and vibration engineers were canvassed for their views at themed workshops around the world. The result is significant workflow support directly based on users everyday wishes and experiences real solutions to real-world problems.

• The Smart Start feature creates the most likely analyses and functions automatically with all properties accessible via right click in the hardware setup table. This allows data acquisition and analysis almost as soon as a project is created
• The front-end browser allows front-end control via the LAN connection without leaving the PULSE project. This is useful if hardware is changed on the fly, or if there are multiple front-ends on the same LAN segment
• Reconnect signals in PULSE projects to match any front-end by mapping signals across to physical inputs and automatically propagating changes throughout the project no need to set up functions again or make any further changes. This makes projects more independent of specific front-ends and is very useful when the front-end browser is used to change attached hardware

PULSE 12 still embodies the measurement accuracy and reliability, the renowned quality of Brüel & Kjær transducers, measurement hardware and application software, and the innovation behind the platform. It also encompasses Brüel & Kjærs unique technologies Dyn-X and REq-X, both providing users with breakthrough acquisition of accurate and valid data first time.
