WebTrak - 7 Things You May Not Know

1. WebTrak is the easiest thing you can do to make a huge improvement to the way you engage with the community over noise issues

WebTrak Complaint EntryWebTrak allows the community to make investigations and report complaints directly to the airport. This is the easiest way to show that you are not hiding anything and freeing up your staff to focus on operating the airport. WebTrak gets the user involved – this level of engagement is much more effective than simply reading literature online like many airport environment websites.

2. You don't need to have a noise and track monitoring system in place

WebTrak can operate standalone with our Secure Radar Gateway in place to retrieve aircraft movement data from the radar. You don't need anything else.

3. A WebTrak launch creates a positive response in the community

Providing access to flight data using WebTrak gives the airport the opportunity to positively promote its activity around managing its environmental impact. WebTrak is typically launched with a press campaign from the airport which is always received well by the community. Take a look at some example press coverage from a recent launch.

4. WebTrak allows the community to investigate and report their own noise issues without tying up airport staff

WebTrak Point of Closest ApproachThe user can clearly identify their own house and how close an aircraft flies. Using simple tools they can measure how close the flight was at the time of a disturbance and by looking at other flights they can see if the disturbance was an anomaly or likely to occur again. Complaints can be lodged on the web directly into your ANOMS noise and flight tracking system freeing up airport staff to concentrate on working with the airlines to reduce noise impact.

5. WebTrak is used by over 50 airports around the world

From large airports like Los Angeles, US where it is just one part of the noise engagement programme to smaller airports like Bournemouth, UK where it is the mainstay - WebTrak delivers value 24 hours a day without impacting airport staff.

6. WebTrak shows the whole picture – demonstrating your transparency in reporting noise information

WebTrak uses data from your local radar which shows all aircraft equipped with a transponder. Other web based solutions use feeds that do not capture as much air traffic leaving a significant number of aircraft tracks missing from the display, which undermines the initiative.

7. WebTrak doesn't cost the earth

Provided as a subscription service WebTrak is easy to set-up and is available for a modest quarterly subscription.
