Lima™ Environmental Noise Calculation and Mapping Software Version 5.2 – Types 7812A/B/C
Type 7812 is the most powerful noise calculation system available. It includes advanced automated data manipulation, geometric handling and allows you to efficiently perform large, accurate noise calculations from existing data sets, without the need to use other software, such as GIS (Geographical Information Systems) and Auto-CAD®. With fast algorithms and a huge capacity, Lima can make rapid, yet accurate, calculations. It is highly flexible, allowing in-depth analyses, and its openness eases integration with external data sets, calculation components and software. The new Version 5.2 has a number of major new features (compared to Version 5.0), not documented in the Product Data sheet BP1962-12, for all configurations:
- New methods:
- VBUS, VBUSch, VBUF and VBUI (Germany)
- XPS-FER (French railway)
- CRN supports EUROSTAR train
- ISO9613 supports screens hanging underneath a bridge
- Improved OpenGL view for 3D model and result viewing, e.g.:
- Attributes can be displayed for selected objects
- Automated production of multiple screenshots
- Faster calculation for large areas by:
- Limiting the calculation of grid result to those areas where the noise level exceeds a user-defined minimum value
- Additional reflection search radius calculation options to emulate the results from other commercial software that use this technique to speed up modelling
- Model Quality Assurance tools "DIAGNOSE 2", "RGEMIP" and "QS-CHECK" may be combined to allow a new calculation with crisp calculation parameters at any calculation points
- Import of ESRI grid files also in TXT format for easier topography modeling
- Improved documentation and workflow on a range of functions
- New server observer function that eases server management for calculation networks
- New standard products:
- LIMA module 5 (graphic user interface) BZ 5700 for accessing Lima from another PC in a network
- License for using Lima Plus 7812B on an additional core on same PC BZ 5702 and License for using Lima Advanced 7812C on an additional core on same PC BZ 5701 for exploiting the possibilities of multi-core PCs for larger calculations
- Maintenance and Support Agreements for all products
- Enhanced database connection
Lima’s ID attribute may not include embedded blanks in the ID string. If a database does include blanks a link to the database may still be successful, as embedded blanks are suppressed in the process.
- Improved Search command
Search command has a new layout which includes parameter settings for “Search into certain direction”
- Improved output from Attribute Edit Table
When choosing the EXOPT feature of the Edit table, Lima will write a *.csv (comma separated file), which can easily be opened in EXCEL. Import of ESRI grid files also in TXT format for easier topography modelling
- Tiling calculation
Automated tiling of grid calculations in now also supported for Aircraft-Noise calculation
- And a lot of new and enhanced commands
