A Secure Foundation for I-deas' Future
Brüel & Kjær has served the sound and vibration market for over 60 years and has attained global market leadership position. The recent partnership between Brüel & Kjær and Canadian software development company, Maya HTT, is committed not only to continuing the sales and lifetime support of I-deas Test, related software products, and support of third party hardware, but also to revitalising I-deas Test products with new functionality.
And early proof of this is the imminent release of I-deas 12m1, which will resolve all the existing UGS compatibility issues and is developed in close cooperation with UGS. This will allow all those using both simulation and test products to migrate to the same version of I-deas.
We are currently contacting all customers to let them know that we can extend the maintenance and support contracts for I-deas Test and associated products beyond the September 30th 2006 termination date communicated by MTS systems. To adequately support our new customers we have employed a number of experienced I-deas Test personnel to man the newly created customer support centres.
A Natural Transition
The diminishing time-to-market that manufacturers expect is transforming the way the world engages with sound and vibration problems. Brüel & Kjær has a fully integrated sound and vibration test platform supplying everything from transducer to final report, and to which we are pleased to add the I-deas Test products. Brüel & Kjær is in the best position to redefine the way engineers and businesses tackle noise and vibration issues, and we are fully committed to extending, revising, and enhancing our range of products to meet the ever-changing needs of our customers. I-deas Test already has measurement support for our PULSE acquisition hardware with more than 200 installations.
Our aggressive and ongoing development of a transition path for I-deas Test customers will ensure equivalent products within the Brüel & Kjær PULSE product line. We intend to continue maintenance and support of the I-deas Test products to at least the end of 2008, allowing you to decide the best time to make the transition to the new products.
