Logging Software
The Logging Software extends the functionality of Type 2250 to allow automatic storage of discrete measurements in a log file. Sequential examination of the individual elements of the log file, either on the 2250 screen or using application software on a PC, reveals the trend, or profile, of the measured parameter.
Type 2250 becomes a versatile instrument for obtaining time histories. You select which baseband parameters and/or spectra to log for each interval. The instrument can be set to log the selected parameters at intervals from 1s to 24 h. And you have the results logged directly to SD cards or CF cards for easy transfer to a PC.
For attended measurements, three distinct on-the-fly markers are available. The markers are used as an annotation of the obtained data, for example, to point out specific noise sources. When data are transferred to PC software, these markers are also transferred and immediately available for further analysis.
- You can annotate a profile on the fly with spoken and written comments. Annotations are clearly and visibly linked to a specific point in time. No mistakes, and hours of work saved.
- You can set and edit markers on-screen, live during measurements. It’s as simple as tapping and dragging on the touch screen.
- You can “freeze” the profile display during measurements, details can be studied at ease while profiling continues. “Freezing” can even be automatic, for example, when excluding unwanted, interrupting sounds from the measurement. The feature even allows you to wait for the disturbance to end before you make the exclusion.
