HATS: The Preferred Telecom Ear
– Brüel & Kjær’s Effort on Driving Standardisation
A large scale Round Robin test has been carried out within ITU-T, the International Telecommunication Union – Telecommunication Standardisation Sector. ITU-T makes international telecom standards – and Brüel & Kjær has contributed to this work for many years. The recent comparative acoustic impedance measurements on Brüel & Kjær’s Head and Torso Simulator (HATS), the Head Acoustics HATS and on more than 100 humans nominates Brüel & Kjær’s HATS ear as the most realistic, with few reservations.
