The readme.rtf file in the installation contains a description of the fixed issues and bugs. For more information about the changes introduced in Version 8.01, please see Noise Prediction Software Predictor-LimA Type 7810.

The main changes in Predictor version 8.01 compared to version 8.0 are:

  • New feature: CAD files (DXF and DWG) up to the latest Autocad version can now be imported with one mouse click. Point, line and polygon shapes are automatically detected and imported as DIV point, line and area items. After the import, the DIV items can be converted into any other item with the Paste special option
  • New feature: Option for calculation of a ISO/DAL model  “Remove inner walls”. This option will suppress reflections that might occur in facades which are located within another building
  • New feature: CRTN, XPS and BS-5228 calculations now also support negative coordinates
  • New feature: The program "GeoReference" now also supports GoogleEarth version 6.0
  • Solved problem: ISO model - when copying and pasting a wind turbine source the terrain roughness was not pasted
  • Solved problem: ENM-link model - when calculating with result storage set to “Total results” or “Group results” results were A-weighted, despite the fact that source powers by default are entered A-weighted. With result storage set to “Source results”, the results were correct

The readme.txt file in the installation contains a description of the fixed issues and bugs. We have also included the following new features compared to Version 7.03:

Model view

  • New option: Zoom Extents
    This option shows all items of foreground and background model and all visible background images and files;
  • New option: Set model boundaries according to current view.
    This option is available from “Model | Info”. The section model boundaries has 2 options (these model boundaries determine the view when a model is opened):
    • set the boundaries according to the items in the model;
    • set the boundaries according to the current view.

Images and background files

  • New option: GeoReference
    This separate program is installed in the Predictor folder and can be used to:
    • calibrate images according to the locally used co-ordinate system
    • grab and calibrate images from Google Earth.

Results

  • New options for showing contours (the last 3 options only show contours if the main group is active):
    • Show foreground contours
      Shows the contours of the foreground model only (same as Predictor V7.0);
    • Show background contours
      Shows the contours of the background model only;
    • Cumulate foreground and background contours
      Shows the cumulated contours of foreground and background model (FG + BG). In areas where foreground and background models do not overlap, the available result of foreground or background is used;
    • Difference map
      Shows the difference contours of foreground and background model (FG – BG). In areas where foreground and background models do not overlap, no results are shown.
  • New option: access results table directly from receiver dialogue
    It is possible to open the Results table directly from the attributes dialogue of a receiver. This option will open the results table and will only show the results for the selected receivers;
  • Improved: Result labels at receivers
    The settings for result labels at receivers are stored between sessions

Items

  • New options: DIV-items in 3D view
    DIV-points, DIV-lines and DIV-areas are now also shown in 3D view and cross section;
  • New option: copy from clipboard in attributes dialogue
    For all Industrial sources it is now possible to copy source powers directly from the clipboard when in the attributes dialogue;
  • Improved: Import of items from DXF
    • The settings of the DXF import are saved
    • Consecutive imports possible without closing dialogue
    • Option to import only points when the selected item type is point shaped.

Miscellaneous

  • The user is notified, if opening a project from the MRU list fails;
  • Control values: The list of receivers can be sorted by clicking on the header of the table;
  • Print model: A list of the most common drawing scales is added;
