B&K 2245 Sound Level Meter receives type approval from PTB

Brüel & Kjær Sound & Vibration Measurement A/S, the world’s leading supplier of advanced technology for sound and vibration, announced today that PTB has type approved the B&K 2245 Sound Level Meter. This important type approval takes Brüel & Kjær to more than 60 sound level meter type approvals from PTB over time, more than any competitor in the industry.

 

PTB (Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt) is the National Metrology Institute of Germany providing scientific and technical services. PTB measures with the highest accuracy and reliability. B&K 2245 has been well received since its launch last year. With this type approval, it can now also be used for legally relevant measurements in Germany and other localities that refer to PTB type approval. Additional regional type approvals will now follow, based on PTB’s measurements. 

 

B&K 2245 Sound Level Meter is designed to simplify noise measurement and analysis. It’s a complete, easy-to-use package that can be used as a stand-alone noise measurement device, or with a range of user-friendly mobile apps, each tailored to assist a specific job-to-do, including environmental noise measurement, exhaust noise level testing and workplace noise assessments.
