The sound emitted by many consumer products or capital products can be problematical from a sales and marketing perspective as well as a regulatory or specification compliance perspective.  This seminar discusses the various standards that require the measurement of sound emissions and the metrics required for reporting, with an emphasis on sound power measurements.  Sound quality and noise source investigatory techniques are also discussed as are the basics of noise producing processes and noise control.  Case studies, examples of real life problems and solutions and demonstrations of measurement techniques are covered to emphasize key points.
