This webinar will focus on the techniques for analyzing noise and vibration while the test object conditions are varying, particularly in the case of a speed run-up or run-down. The discussion will cover the needs and processing of a speed signal, generally in the form of a Tacho pulse train, and then will discuss the FFT vs RPM approach. Advantages an limitation will be explained. The next technique on the agenda consist of performing a digital resampling of the incoming time data stream in order to maintain a fixed number of revolutions per FFT time data blocks. This resampling method brings a whole new range of capabilities and its setup parameters that must be understood in order to optimize the results.
