Account Manager (m/f)

We are seeking a well experienced technology driven Sales professional who's able to manage and develop key markets for Brüel & Kjær in Germany.

Location: The position will be home-based, ideally in the Frankfurt area of Germany.

Experience in at least one of the following markets is desirable:

  • Aerospace & Defense market (customers. technologies. challenges etc.)
  • Automotive market (customers, technologies, challenges, NVH applications etc.)
  • Environmental Noise market (customers, technologies, challenges etc.)
  • Industrial markets like White goods and rotating machinery (customers, technologies, challenges etc.)

Knowledge and understanding of one of the following applications would be beneficial:

  • Sound and vibration measurement and analysis solutions – ideally both theoretically and practically
  • Test and measurement (including production test)

Main Tasks include:

  • Identifying, managing and developing accounts in assigned territory
  • Managing opportunity funnel (pipelines) via close customer interaction and CRM
  • Promoting products and solutions to the market
  • Developing Brüel & Kjær's market share
  • Communicating and interacting with customers, partners and other Brüel & Kjær departments
  • Ensuring sales targets and forecasts are achieved
  • Preparing and following up on quotations and opportunities
  • Traveling to visit customer in your area


  • Good Engineering, sales expertise and technical knowledge ( Engineering or technical degree)
  • Native in German is mandatory and good communication level in English
  • Ability to learn and apply existing knowledge in:
    - acoustic and vibration solutions and applications
    - customer management, challenges and expectations
    - strategic selling methods (benefits/values)
  • Good commercial understanding
  • Good communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Good IT knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM)
  • Experience in working remotely with frequent visits to Brüel & Kjær office in Germany
  • Ability to work in multi-discipline and international teams and adapt to changing business environment
  • Positive attitude towards challenges and difficulties
  • Willing and able to travel for customer visits on a weekly basis
