NVH Application Engineer

This individual will support our advanced automotive applications and be responsible for technical sales presentations, seminars, customer training, customer support and test services with a focus on NVH Vehicle Simulator technology, Source-Path-Contribution (SPC)/Transfer Path Analysis (TPA) and Sound Quality.
You will be responsible for supporting advanced sound and vibration / NVH applications primarily in the automotive market.
This includes our revolutionary NVH Vehicle Simulator technology, Source-path-contribution technology and Sound Quality technology.
This role will require an understanding of the Bruel & Kjaer product line and require the expert use of Bruel & Kjaer data acquisition and analysis hardware and software. Duties of the role will include a high degree of customer interaction for product demonstrations, customer support, customer training, project execution and hands-on measurements and analysis of vehicle NVH.
Perform high level technical demonstrations
Train and Support customers on NVH solutions
Perform Test Service projects utilizing advanced NVH tools
Provide high level Technical Support on advanced NVH applications
Develop and present customer Seminars on NVH solutions at NVH events and trade conferences
Work with sales to close strategic sales
Identify new sales opportunities when talking with prospective customers
Attain and maintain a high level of technical proficiency in our advanced automotive applications
Identify new customers and markets for our products and report back to management
Internal training of engineering staff
BS in Engineering or scientific field
5-10 years experience in automotive NVH
Experience and familiarity with the automotive NVH design process
Experience in hands-on NVH problem solving
Experience with advanced NVH techniques, e.g. source-path-contribution (transfer path analysis), sound quality preferred
Familiarity with NVH CAE techniques, NVH CAE experience a plus
