When conducting vibration measurements, especially at several locations on a test article, it is useful or even necessary to have a digital representation of the geometry of the test article, and to predefine locations/directions for our measurements. These locations/directions are called degrees of freedom (DOF). In BK Connect, these predefined DOFs can be used to guide us through the measurements, and the measurement results will be automatically associated with those DOFs.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
Create basic geometries based on points, tracelines and elements
Create advanced geometries using Meshing of Compounds (3D structures)
Decimate complex geometries imported from FEA models
Assign DOFs to a structure and create measurement sequences
Use the geometry and DOFs to guide measurements
