Type 2250-W is a compact and rugged hand-held analyzer. With the addition of an appropriate accelerometer, Type 2250-W is a highly accurate vibration meter. The instrument comes with applications for basic vibration measurements of level and crest factor.
More advanced measurement tasks such as vibration source identification, machinery analysis and troubleshooting, and quality testing and inspection requires additional application software. Enhanced Vibration and Low Frequency Option BZ-7234 expands these capabilities, enabling velocity and displacement measurement.
Or you can use this analyzer as a replacement sound level meter (SLM) with your existing preamplifier and microphone. The addition of specialized applications then allows you to conduct building acoustics, FFT analysis, tone assessment, noise source identification, sound intensity and vibration measurements.

ADDITIONAL CAPABILITIES - SOUND LEVEL METER
In addition to this instrument’s use as a vibration meter, it can be used as a Class 1 SLM for general purpose sound measurements to the latest international standards by adding an appropriate preamplifier and microphone. The built-in flexibility of the instrument allows you to add applications and other hardware to expand the capabilities beyond the range of the standard SLM. This includes occupational health and safety (OHS), building acoustics and reverberation time applications, infrasound (G-weighting) measurements, product development and quality control, and even sound power and intensity and noise source identification applications.
