Webinar series: Structural Dynamics
Measurement and Analysis
Looking for ways to optimize the dynamics of structures to improve safety, reliability, performance, consumption, or comfort?
Join our free structural dynamics webinar series for a thorough introduction to measurement and analysis techniques and a description of the most frequently used applications: Operating Deflection Shapes Analysis, Classical Modal Analysis and Operational Modal Analysis.
- 10 May, 2021: Introduction to Structural Dynamics Measurement and Analysis
An overview of structural dynamics measurements, analysis techniques and applications to better understand and optimize the dynamic behaviour of structures.
- 12 May, 2021: Operating Deflection Shapes Analysis (ODS)
What is ODS analysis? What are the different types of ODS analysis? How are operating deflection shapes and mode shapes related? The webinar covers all these questions as well as the instrumentation used.
- 18 May, 2021: Modal Analysis using Hammer or Shaker Excitation
An introduction to modal analysis including an overview of frequently used excitation signals and modal parameter identification techniques. In addition, we look at how to perform measurements using impact hammer or shaker excitation, how to use mode indicator functions and how to validate the obtained modal parameters.
- 20 May, 2021: Operational Modal Analysis (OMA)
An introduction to OMA including guidelines for when to use OMA instead of Classical Modal Analysis using hammer or shaker excitation, examples of typical applications plus information on how OMA can be used for Structural Health Monitoring (SHM).
All four webinars are presented by Niels-Jørgen Jacobsen, Product Manager, Structural Dynamic Solutions.
With over 50 years’ experience within the field of structural dynamics measurement and analysis, Brüel & Kjær’s structural dynamics solutions cover the complete measurement and analysis chain – from exciters and transducers to data acquisition hardware and software for measurement, analysis and integration between test and simulation. And with BK Connect, we have a single flexible and customizable software platform for hammer and shaker modal measurement, modal analysis and model correlation.
