Our comprehensive range of high-force electrodynamic shakers is built for robust performance in the face of challenging vibration simulation and test scenarios, and supports a wide range of payload sizes.
Designed around cutting-edge hydrostatic bearing technology with inductive or optical armature centring systems, Brüel & Kjær’s high-force LDS shakers are built to last in tough working environments. This is critical, as they cover unprecedented force rating capabilities (80 – 289.1 kN), spanning both water and air-cooled technology, for extended vibration testing of complex parts and large assemblies. These shakers handle a large frequency range, preserving the quality of results and enabling long-duration or high shock testing without significant wear-and-tear.

Air-Cooled High-Force shaker
LDS® V8900 high-force shaker offers unmatched versatility and testing capability. This air-cooled electrodynamic shaker delivers a high overturning moment and a force rating of 80 kN (17,894 lbf) for high-performance vibration and shock testing of large structures and devices.
A water-cooled electrodynamic shaker for shock and high-performance vibration tests of extra-large payloads up to 5000 kg (11,000 lb), such as satellites, electronic assemblies and defence hardware. It has a peak sine force rating of 289.1 kN (65,000 lbf).
High-Frequency LDS shaker (IMPERIAL)
A water-cooled electrodynamic shaker for shock and high-performance vibration testing of large devices, such as aircraft components up to 907 kg (2000 lb). It can deliver sine and random forces up to 89 kN (20,000 lbf) and has a maximum overturning moment of 3.13 kN·m (2308 lb·ft).
A water-cooled electrodynamic shaker for high-performance vibration and shock testing of large and extra-large articles, including satellite and aircraft components. It can apply forces up to 160.1 kN (36,000 lbf) and has an internal load support capacity of 2000 kg (4409 lb).
A water-cooled electrodynamic shaker for high-force, long-duration vibration tests of large articles, such as rocket and satellite components, wind turbines and automobile engines. It can support loads up to 1800 kg (3970 lb) and deliver peak forces of 105 kN (23,605 lbf).
