This BK Connect software performs post-processing analysis on recorded vibration signals. From time data acquired with accelerometers, it determines the vibration pattern of a structure under given operating conditions: how the structure’s dynamic properties respond to the forcing functions on it. The vibration pattern can be shown as an animated geometry model of the structure and listed as displacement, velocity and acceleration in a shape table.

This BK Connect ODS Analysis software provides powerful geometry features for shape extraction and animation, making it a useful tool for importing phase-assigned spectra (PAS) and geometry created in PULSE Operating Deflection Shapes Test Consultant Type 7765.

The geometry-driven interface provides a graphical display that allows you to select the degrees of freedom (DOFs) on a geometric graphic. You can view the DOF information for the test and validate the test set-up and measurements. Using spectral ODS analysis, you can perform test set-up validation, such as identifying cable breaks and faulty and incorrectly mounted transducers. You can select frequencies of interest and view the animated deflection shape. For structures with lightly damped and well-separated modes, the shapes will resemble mode shapes. From there, you can view shape details, save one or more shapes, and compare shapes by animating them.
